• "What makes a good life? Lessons from the longest study on happiness." Ted Talk by Psychiatrist Robert Waldinger.  On the impact of relationships on happiness.  Based on 70+ years of research.  In this age of technological distraction, I feel that we need to work harder than ever foster meaningful relationships with our kids and encourage them to do the same.
  • "Happiness is the Only Logical Pursuit" A blog post by one of my favorite financial bloggers, Mr Money Mustache.  He writes often about happiness and fulfillment.  The excessively consumeristic tendencies of our society are often fodder for his writing.

  • "Are we in control of our own decisions?"  Ted Talk by behavioral economist Dan Ariely.  I love his example of how marketers are able to use behavioral science to their benefit.  This is something we should teach our kids to be aware of.

Kids With Purpose

  • "Teaching kids the value of work"  In this podcast, Jen Riday interviews entrepreneur and mom of 8, PJ Jonas.  The Jonas' are a homeschooling family that teaches their kids to do important things like cooking, cleaning, laundry, and making goat milk soap!  I love how PJ discourages conformity!
